6/16/2023 0 Comments Lintong coffee![]() The coffee is processed using the traditional Sumatran method, hand-picking, and screen sorting, and becomes Sapporo coffee Kan’s original specialty coffee. The coffee cherries are carefully cultivated by about 40 local families who deliver them from their houses to a fine selection factory. During the season, these trees produce large, bright red coffee cherries. This plantation design ensures that the trunks of the coffee trees are thick, straight, and healthy even after thirty years. On this extremely fertile, free of artificial chemicals, and humus-rich soil, the Lingtong coffee shade trees are luxuriously planted at 4-meter intervals. This area is specifically used only for Lingtong coffee variety and has been separated from the more widely produced Mandheling coffee variety. At an altitude of 1350m to 1400m, a lush coffee jungle spreads out on a special cultivation area, and this is where “the blessing of Lingtong” is grown with love and care. It is produced in the Lingtong Nihuta district which lies to the south of Lake Toba in North Sumatra. Its name, Berkat Lingtong, in the Indonesian language means "the blessing of Lingtong”, undoubtedly a well-deserved name. ![]() Mandheling Berkat Lingtong is a coffee bean with a very special origin.
